Inner Struggle

Today has been a total emotional rollercoaster for me too. I woke up all chill and content, thinking it's gonna be a good day, but damn, as the hours passed, I started getting hit with this intense frustration and anger outta nowhere. Gaslighting, man, that's some messed-up stuff that really gets on my nerves. I can't stand it when someone deliberately messes with the truth to make themselves look good or gain power over others. It's straight-up emotional abuse, and it gets me heated. I've been in situations before where I've been gaslit, and let me tell you, it messes with your head. You end up feeling all confused, doubting yourself, and even questioning your own sanity. It's sneaky as hell because it's hard to spot, and it slowly chips away at your confidence and self-worth over time. But here's the messed-up part, bro. Sometimes, when I'm in the middle of a heated argument, I catch myself bending the truth or exaggerating just to come out on ...

The Reign of Darkness

I am the king in my own kingdom, Ruling over my own domain. My subjects, my thoughts and feelings, All bow down to my reign. I am the master of my own despair, Conquering my demons with ease. I stand tall, unafraid of the darkness, For I hold the power to appease. I am the warrior in my own battle, Fighting for what I believe. I face the challenges with courage, And in the end, I will achieve. My kingdom may be small and humble, But it is where I am truly free. For I am the king, the master, the warrior, And my fate is solely up to me. I am the king in my own kingdom, Ruling with an iron hand. My subjects cower before my wrath, And bow to my harsh command. I am the master of my own despair, Trapped in a prison of my own making. My thoughts and feelings, my only company, A constant source of torment and aching. I am the warrior in my own battle, But the enemy is myself. My mind, a battlefield of turmoil, A war I fight with no help. My kingdom may be grand and vast, But it is a barren, ...

meh

Sadness takes over, Without any clue or cover. Its weight heavy to bear,  Leaving me in despair. Questions flood my mind,  As emotions seem to bind.  Why does it come uninvited?  Leaving me feeling so benighted.

Following the Star: Seeking Jesus with Faith and Curiosity

"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, 'Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him'" (Matthew 2:1-2). In this passage from the Gospel of Matthew, we see the story of the Magi, also known as the three wise men, who followed a star to find the birthplace of Jesus. Despite facing challenges and obstacles along the way, their faith and curiosity led them to the presence of Jesus, and they honored him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. As I reflect on this passage, I am struck by the Magi's willingness to seek out Jesus and to follow him with a sense of curiosity and faith. Their journey was not an easy one, but they were willing to take risks and face challenges in order to find Jesus and offer him their worship and devotion. This story reminds me that, like the Magi, we too are called to seek ou...

Sunsets

The sun sinks low in the sky As the day comes to an end But in the sunset's glowing light A spark of hope begins to mend The colors of the sky on fire Red and gold and orange hue Remind us that each day may end But a new one will come anew So let us watch the sunset With hearts that are filled with grace For in the beauty of its light We find a hopeful resting place.
